Founded in 1993, Together for Animals raises funds to help animals in need in both the UK and overseas. For over 10 years, Print Worx has helped it increase its supporter base with outreach campaigns.

Together for Animals wanted to rebrand the look and feel of its newsletter to make it more engaging and attract more donations. It also wanted to keep print and distribution costs to a minimum.

Drawing on our expertise in cost control, Print Worx’s design team identified a way of taking the newsletter from mono to full colour at no additional cost. Further savings were gained by cleansing its database and eliminating invalid addresses, gone aways and returned mailings.

More impact at less cost

In total, 6,000 copies of the six-page A4 newsletter were printed in full colour on 130 gsm silk. They were cross folded to A5 to further reduce postage costs. In the envelope we also included a personalised covering letter, a full colour questionnaire and a business reply envelope for donations.

The entire package was enclosed in clear poly bags to add visual impact. They were posted via Mailsort 3 for the lowest possible postage costs. To further save time and money, the reverse of the carrier sheet doubled as a donation form.

Increased circulation and donations

The design changes Print Worx implemented helped Together for Animals enhance its publication without having to divert funds from its charity work. The enhanced design also helped to increase circulation to over 9,000 copies and attract more donations as a result.
